Intended use

The product is used to measure the temperature in indoor and outdoor areas. Furthermore, the battery voltage of a vehicle can be measured and displayed; a digital watch is also integrated. Power is supplied bybatteries of type LR44or CR2032(power for the display light is only supplied via the cigarette lighter connection of the vehicle).

Read the operating instructions carefully and keep them for later reference. Always observe the safety instructions and all other information included in these operating instructions!

Any use other than that described above will lead to damage to this product and will expose you to additional risks, such as short circuits, fire, electrical shocks etc. No part of the product may be modified or converted!

• •The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not permitted for safety and approval reasons (CE). Do never dismantle the product (apart from inserting/replacing the batteries).
• •The product is not a toy and does not belong in the hands of children. It contains small items and batteries.
• •The manufacturer is not responsible for incorrect displays or measured values and any consequences which may arise thereof.
• •The display unit is only intended for use in dry, enclosed indoor spaces, it must not get damp or wet.
• •If the product is used in vehicles, it must be operated only when the situation is appropriate and allows the operation and use of the unit. Do not use/operate the product if this distracts you from driving the vehicle. The same is true for the read-ing out of measured values from the product’s display.

• •Do not use the product in rooms with adverse environmental conditions, where combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be present! There is a risk of explo-sion!
• •Handle the product with care. It can be damaged by blows, strikes and falls, even from a low height.
• •Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, as it could become a dangerous plaything for children.

• Battery information

   

  • • Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.

   

  • • Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk they may be swallowed by children or pets. If they are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
  • • Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use suitable protective gloves.
  • • Liquids leaking from batteries are very chemically aggressive. Objects or surfaces coming into contact with these liquids could be considerably damaged. Batteries must therefore be stored in a suitable location.
  • • Ensure that the batteries are never short-circuited, taken apart or thrown into a fire. There is a risk of explosion!
  • • Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!

   

  • • Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries (pay attention to plus/+ and minus/–).
  • • If the device is not to be used for a long time (e.g. storage) remove the batteries. Old batter-ies may leak and cause damage to the product, which will lead to the loss of the warranty/ guarantee!
  • • For the proper disposal of batteries, please read the chapter “Disposal”.

   

  Inserting / replacing batteries

   

  • • Open the battery compartment at the rear of the device by pushing the battery compartment cover out by approx. 3 mm (observe the arrow on the battery compartment cover). After this, the battery compartment cover can be removed.
  • • Insert two batteries of type LR44or  one battery CR3032observing the correct polarity (the plus pole “+” must point outwards towards you). Close the battery compartment again.
  • • The battery needs changing when the display contrast is reduced considerably.

   

  Assembly

   

  • • The display unit can be mounted in a suitable location at the rear using the Velcro®strips en-closed. Make sure the surface is smooth, level, dry and free of grease and dust. The display unit can also be mounted on a sloped surface using the foldable clip at the rear.

   

  When mounting the device in a vehicle, make sure not to cover displays or control elements of the vehicle or to impair their function.

  • • The sensor can be fastened in a suitable location using the adhesive tape that is already present at the bottom. Make sure the surface you have chosen to attach the sensor to, is smooth, level, dry and free of grease and dust.

  Protect the cable between the display unit and sensor from sharp edges and do not bend it. Lay the cable so that it does not hinder you while driving the vehicle.

   

  The sensor should be mounted in a protected place which is not exposed to direct sunlight or humidity/moisture, otherwise you will have incorrect measurement val-ues. The ideal place in vehicles is, for example the area between the door and car body. However, it is essential to ensure that the sensor is not crushed and the door or car body is not damaged by the sensor casing.

   

  • • If the voltage of vehicle battery is to be displayed, insert the cigarette lighter plug into a cor-responding cigarette lighter socket of the vehicle.

   

  The product is only suitable for a cigarette lighter socket of 12 V!

   

  Display indications/operation

   

  a) Basic display

   

  The display appears after the batteries are inserted.

   

  In the left of the display, you can find the time and next to it the inside temperature (“IN”) and outside temperature (“OUT”).

   

  The voltage at the right edge of the display is only shown when the cigarette lighter plug is inserted into a corresponding socket of the vehicle and a voltage is present.

   

  b) Setting the alarm

   

  • • Press and hold the “TIME”(■  )button for about 3 seconds and the “12H” or “24H” display for the 12 or 24-hour mode will flash.
  • • Briefly press the “UP”(▲)or “DOWN”(▼)button to switch between the 12 and 24-hour mode. In the 12-hour mode, “PM” appears left to the time during the second half of the day.
  • • Briefly press the “TIME”(■)button, the seconds of the alarm time flash. Briefly press the “UP”(▲)or “DOWN”(▼)button to reset the seconds to “00”.
  • • • Briefly press the “TIME”(■)button and the hours of the alarm time will flash; set them using the “UP”(▲)or “DOWN”(▼)button. For a quick adjustment, press and hold down the corresponding button for a while.
    • • By briefly pressing the “TIME”(■)button, you can now switch to setting the minutes, year, month and date. Settings are made with the “UP”(▲)or “DOWN”(▼)button (hold the corresponding button for a while for quick adjustment).

    Once the date is set and you briefly press the “TIME”(■)button, the settings are saved and the setting mode is closed.

     

    The setting mode will automatically close if you do not press any buttons for 1 minute. The settings already made are saved.

     

    c) Toggling time/date

     

    • • Briefly press the “TIME”(■)button and the month and date will be shown in the display.

     

    • •To display the time again, briefly press the “TIME”(■)button again or wait for 10 seconds.

    d) Toggling time/date

    Briefly press the “°C/°F” button to switch between °C (degrees Celsius) and °F (degrees Fahrenheit).(for model EC98)

    Hold the “up”(▲)button for 3 secondsto switch between °C (degrees Celsius) and °F (degrees Fahrenheit).(for model EC99)

     

    e) Changing the colour of the background light

     

    The background light is only activated if the cigarette lighter plug is inserted into a corresponding 12 V cigarette lighter socket and voltage is present (the battery volt-age is also shown in the display).

    A voltage is only present at the cigarette lighter socket in most vehicles when the ignition of the vehicle is activated or the engine is running.

     

    The colour of the background light can be toggled between “blue” and “orange” using the sliding switch on the left side.(for model EC88)

    The colour of the background light can be toggled between “blue” and “orange”to press the“●”button high or low.(for model EC98)

     

    f) Frost alarm

     

    • • Keep the “DOWN”(▼)button pressed for 3 seconds to switch the frost alarm on or off. A snow-flake symbol appears above the outside temperature when the frost alarm is activated.
    • • If the frost alarm is activated, the snowflake symbol flashes if the outside temperature (“OUT”) is between -1 °C and +4 °C.

     

    g) Voltage display

     

    The voltage display on the right only appears if the cigarette lighter plug is inserted into a corresponding 12 V cigarette lighter socket and voltage is present. The back-ground light is also activated.

    A voltage is only present at the cigarette lighter socket in most vehicles when the ignition of the vehicle is activated or the engine is running.

    Important!

     

    Check if there is continuous voltage present at the cigarette lighter socket to which you connect the product, even when the ignition of the vehicle is switched off.

     

    If this is the case, always remove the cigarette lighter plug of the product from the socket when you are not using the vehicle as the display is supplied with voltage/ current from this source. Otherwise, the vehicle battery can totally discharged.

    A battery symbol in the display next to the voltage (in volts) indicates the battery condition.

     

        

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    
    

     

    Fuse replacement

     

    A fine fuse (5 x 20 mm, 250 V, 1 A, smart triggering characteristic) is integrated in the cigarette lighter plug. If the display light does not go on even though there is voltage at the cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle, replace the fuse with a new one.

    Unscrew the furrowed nut from the tip of the cigarette lighter plug. Replace the defective fuse with a new fuse identical in construction.

     

    Never bridge a defective fuse! Always use a fuse with the same nominal current and triggering characteristics!

    一、产品特点：

    1、     车内外的温度检测。温度测量汇围为：-50----70度。

    2、     当温度低于-1度时，结冰报警图案点亮。

    3、     车内电瓶电压的实时监控，数字显示当前电压。

    4、     时间显示功能，按键时有年、月、日显示。

    5、     12和24小时显示制式。

    二、使用说明：

      1、将车载点烟器插头插上车上的点烟器上，并将室外探头放置车外门内侧固定，开启汽车启动，显示屏显示当前的车内外的温度和车内的电瓶电压及时间。

       2、当车外的温度处于-1度到4度时，ICE显示图案会显示，提示你车外温度低，注意车辆的防冰冻保养。

       4、右侧的数字实时显示当前车内电瓶的电压。A、如果车内电瓶电压在9V以下时，此时右边的显示屏有图案显示：     此时表示电瓶电压非常过低，车辆有熄火的危险，需要马上对车辆进行检测。B、如果车内电瓶电压在9.1V到11.5V时，此时右边的显示屏有图案显示：     此时表示电瓶电压较低，需要对车辆进行检测。C、如果车内电瓶电压在11.6------11.9V时，此时右边的显示屏有图案显示：     此时表示电瓶电压可以开车，但电压仍是偏低。D、如果车内电瓶电压在12V到12.4V时，此产品的右侧VOL此时右边的显示屏有图案显示：       此时表示电瓶电压可以开车了。E、如果车内电   瓶电压在12.5V到12.9V时，此产品的右侧VOL此时右边的显示屏有图案显示：                          

    此时表明车的电瓶电压正常。F、如果车内电瓶电压在13V到15V时，此时，右边的显示屏图案为：        此时表示电瓶电压过高，当电压达到14.8V以上时，需要立即对车辆进行检测。

    5、     推动侧面的开关，可以在蓝、橙背光颜色间转换。

    6、如使用或因某些其它因素影响使显示异常时,请取出电池片刻后重新装上电池,也可用尖细物体按“RESET”键，重新使用即可。

    三、时间设定

      1、在一般时间状态，按住       (TIME)键3秒不动，此时12Hr或是24Hr闪烁，表明进入时间设定状态。此时按      (UP)或      (DOWN)键选择12或24小时显示制式。

      2、此时按      (TIME)键，分别进行以下项目的设定：12/24小时---秒---小时—分钟—年---月---日期----确认退出。

      3、按     (UP)或是     (DOWN)键分别进行项目的上调或是下调。

     四、在一般时间状态下，按      (TIME)键一次，转换到月和日期的显示状态。

     五、按住    键3秒不动，进行摄氏度和华氏度的转换。

     

     六、按住     键3秒，开启或关闭冰点报警功能（开启时有雪花图案出现）

     七、连续按上或按下产品上的圆●键，可以进行蓝光或橙光的背光转换。
